Free day — Dachau Memorial, BMW Museum, Nymphenburg Palace, or a long session in the English Garden.

The big one. Theresienwiese. Litre steins, lederhosen, live brass bands. Tent reservation essential.

Day 2 at Oktoberfest, or recover and explore more of Munich at your own pace.

Collect hire car in Munich. Drive to Salzburg — depart 8am, ~1.5h. Mozart's birthplace, Hohensalzburg Fortress, Mirabell Gardens. Back by 5pm. Car kept overnight for 5am Prague departure.

Pickup Munich city 22 Sep. Used for Salzburg day trip same day, then 5am Prague drive 23 Sep. Drop-off Prague. Confirm AT/CZ cross-border permission with the operator (Sixt, Hertz, or Europcar). One-way fee approximately €150.
